In the late 1990s, the whole of Denmark became familiar with Anja and Viktor when Regner Grasten's film version of Dennis Jürgensen's popular novel Love at the First Hiccups premiered with Robert Hansen and Sofie Lassen-Kahlke in the lead roles. Here we first met the awkward Viktor Knudsen and the beautiful Anja Poulsen, whose love story grew much bigger in the four subsequent films. The films, which sold more than two million cinema tickets in the years 1999-2008, are today one of the most iconic Danish love stories.

Love at the First Hiccups:

Dennis Jürgensen's youth book is one of the greatest book successes ever. Since 1981, over 600,000 readers have laughed at Anja and Viktor, who are trying to get started with "the first time", greatly helped by their two naughty and absolutely wonderful little brothers.

It's the story of Viktor, who as a new 1st G'er falls head over heels for the unattainable 3rd G'er Anja. It's the one about the hiccups and the promised kiss from the divine one and only. What happens when your boyfriend grows up? In the continuation of Love at First Hiccup, Anja and Viktor have become lovers. Viktor still suffers from the fact that he is younger than Anja. It's hard to live at home - go to 3. G - and have a boyfriend who has a great job at an advertising agency, and where the boss offers sushi and white wine. It gets harder when Anja moves to an apartment in the middle of Copenhagen. In the same building lives Viktor's former rival Peter - a chic photo model with a sports car and who is also supposed to work with Anja. Viktor feels that Anja is slipping away from him. In a panic, he applies for the vacant position as caretaker in the building where Anka lives. But...
