The ever-optimistic koala Buster Moon and his star-studded musical troupe are preparing for their most extravagant show ever. They are going to put on a musical in the Crystal Tower theater in the famous village of Redshore City. They have been given permission to do so by Crystal Entertainment's merciless boss, the wolf Jimmy Crystal, on one condition: They must try to persuade the world's most reclusive rock star to participate.
