Flesh & blood
When 17-year-old Ida's mother dies in a car accident, Ida is placed in the care of her aunt Bodil (Sidse Babett Knudsen) and her three adult sons. Ida is received by all of them with warmth and care, which makes it difficult for her to distance herself, as the domineering Bodil introduces her to the family's criminal enterprises. Soon she is trapped in a life where the boundaries between violence and love flow together.
The story in this Danish film is very similar to the Australian Oscar-nominated Animal Kingdom (2010).
